In this Multidimensional Fine Art series, Origins, we explore our secret ancient origins which have been ignored by conventional archaeologists. Ancient gods and goddesses from a variety of cultures around the world, remnants of ancient cities dating back to the lost continents of Atlantis and Lemuria are depicted here in mystical abstract forms and brilliant iridescent colors.

Quetzalcoatl literally translates "The Feathered Serpent" and this depiction is inspired from an ancient Aztec ring worn by King Quetzalcoatl himself, during his reign. Once Topiltzin Ce Acatl Quetzalcoatl emerges from manhood, he spends seven years upon the mountains offering penance (for his sins) to the gods ... Once this time passes, he becomes the King of Tollan and the Toltecs. He was not afraid to go against what his advisors thought was best in order to do what he felt he needed to do to be a good leader. His wife, of whom he was absolutely enamored, was beautiful and the light of his life.

A feathered Serpent deity has been worshipped by many different ethno-political groups in Mesoamerican history. The existence of such worship can be seen through studies of iconography of different mesoamerican cultures, in which serpent motifs are frequent. Based on the different symbolic systems used in portrayals of the feathered serpent deity in different cultures and periods scholars have interpreted the religious and symbolic meaning of the feathered serpent deity in Mesoamerican cultures.

Quetzalcoatl is the Aztec incarnation of the Feathered Serpent deity, known from several Aztec codices such as the Florentine codex, as well as from the records of the Spanish conquistadors. Quetzalcoatl was a bringer of knowledge, the inventor of books, and associated with the planet Venus.

This painting was inspired by an ancient Aztec ring.
