the spiral of creation

The Dogon "Spiral of Creation" is a core concept in their cosmology, originating from the creator god Amma's "Egg of the World" (Aduno Tal) which, after pulsing seven times, broke open in a spiral motion, releasing the potential for the universe, galaxies, and all matter, with Sirius (the Dog Star) marking its beginning and symbolizing the central pivot of creation, explaining the spiral form of galaxies and the structure of matter, linking the cosmic to the microscopic through spirals. The Dogon were well aware of Sirius B and C before our modern astronomers because that knowledge was given to them by the Nommo, an amphibious race of technologically advanced beings who came to Earth from Sirius B.
