Some modern writers, notably the authors of the 1982 "Holy Blood, Holy Grail", and Dan Brown in the 2003 novel "The Da Vinci Code", hold that: Mary Magdalene was in fact the wife of Jesus, and that fact was omitted by Pauline Christian revisionists and editors of the Gospels. These writers cite non-canonical and Gnostic writings in selective portions to support their argument.
I agree with these two writers, wholeheartedly.
