"When a star stops burning, the force of gravity becomes so immense that not even the densely-packed mass can support itself, and consequently, the star quickly shrinks in size until it’s compressed to the size of a pinhead, then to the size of a microbe, then to the size of an atom, and then it just keeps going until its size equals zero in all spatial dimensions: infinite density, infinite temperature, and infinite space-time curvature. The star has now become a black hole. This “zero-point” size is called a singularity. When you finally know (not merely believe) that you are part of a singular, infinite, all-pervading consciousness, you have evolved into what I call the zero-point Self."
